When you contact us, request a quote, offer equipment for sale, ask about a part, join our buyer alerts or join our supplier network, we may collect your name, company, email address, telephone number, location, stock or buying preferences, and the information you choose to provide about equipment or services.

We use this information to respond, prepare quotations, assess equipment, arrange collection or delivery, manage enquiries, match relevant incoming stock with buyers, maintain supplier relationships and keep reasonable business records.

If you actively join our buyer alerts or supplier network, we may contact you using the contact method you provide about relevant stock or surplus opportunities. You can ask us to stop these contacts at any time.

If you register interest in the Private Factory Spares Network pilot, we collect your contact name, business, work email, optional telephone, job role, factory location, whether you need spares or have surplus, and any details you voluntarily share. We use this to assess pilot suitability and contact you about potential factory spares or managed-resale opportunities. Registering is not an agreement to buy, sell or share inventory. Other participating factories do not have direct access to your submitted details or inventory. We will discuss any proposed disclosure to a potential counterparty with you first.

Form submissions may be processed by Formspree and private buyer, supplier or pilot registrations may be recorded in Airtable. Structured seller enquiries and stock-management records may be stored as private records in GitHub and processed through Vercel-hosted website functions. These services act as technology providers supporting the website.

For free obsolescence Quick Checks, we collect the requested part numbers, manufacturer, optional installed quantities and machine context, contact details, urgency and whether you want a sourcing quote. We use these to prepare and deliver your requested report and manage related enquiries. Marketing follow-ups require a separate opt-in. Where operational notifications are enabled, the sending service Resend processes the contact email address, enquiry reference and information necessary to deliver your requested acknowledgement and our internal new-enquiry alert; it does not receive your PLC program files through this form. Our standard retention target for an unanswered or completed Quick Check enquiry is 24 months unless a longer business, transaction or legal retention requirement applies.

We do not sell personal information. We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry, complete a transaction, maintain a relevant buyer or supplier relationship, meet legal or accounting requirements, or maintain reasonable business records.

If you choose to accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited and whether visitors start stock searches, sourcing requests, seller enquiries or checkout. This is optional; the site works without it. We only load the Analytics tag after consent and do not intentionally send your name, contact information, free-text search terms, enquiry details or Stripe session IDs to Google Analytics.

Your choice is saved on this device for up to 180 days. Use the Privacy choices control on the website to change it at any time. Analytics data may be processed by Google under its service terms. Purchase analytics are based on a verified return to our payment confirmation page and may not capture every completed payment.

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request correction, ask us to stop buyer or supplier network contact, or ask us to delete information where we no longer need to retain it.
