Founding factories invited · UK pilot

KEEP YOUR FACTORY MOVING. MAKE YOUR SPARE PARTS WORK HARDER.

Hard-to-find Siemens CPUs. Obsolete I/O modules. Spares sitting unused in another factory. The AO Private Factory Spares Network is an early-stage, engineer-led pilot exploring a more practical way to connect supply and demand — without sharing your private stock data with other sites.

Made for the real factory floor

Whichever side you're on, there's a route in.

You don't have to be a reseller or have an entire warehouse to take part. This pilot is primarily aimed at UK manufacturing sites with ageing machines, critical spare requirements or unused automation equipment.

WE NEED SPARES

Got an obsolete PLC, drive or HMI that's proving difficult to source? Register your site's requirements so AO can explore potential matches.

WE HOLD SURPLUS

Have legacy automation parts collecting dust in a maintenance store? Explore discreet managed resale or potential matching opportunities, without showing your stock to other factories.

WE DO BOTH

Keep ageing equipment running while gradually reducing excess stock. Register once and tell us about both needs as the pilot develops.

Privacy is the point

YOUR STOCK. YOUR DATA. YOUR CONTROL.

Factories do not receive direct access to another site's inventory, contact details, production information or pricing. Automation Outlet coordinates any potential opportunity privately. Nothing is shared with a prospective counterparty without discussing it with you first.

  • Other factories can't browse your stock
  • No public searchable factory profiles
  • Enquiries handled by Automation Outlet
  • Participation and specific transactions are optional
A simple first step

How the pilot works

We're building the founding group now. This is a pilot invitation — not a promise that every part is available or that a match is guaranteed.

01 / REGISTER

Tell us about your site

Share basic company and contact details, plus whether you're looking for stock, offering it, or both.

02 / PRIVATE REVIEW

AO discusses the fit

We'll assess suitability and only ask for specific part numbers or inventory details when they're actually useful.

03 / COORDINATED OPPORTUNITIES

We broker potential matches

Where a suitable opportunity arises, AO can handle the introduction, commercial discussion and logistics by agreement.

Founding factory registration

PUT YOUR FACTORY ON OUR RADAR.

Registering takes about a minute. There's no fee to express interest and you don't need to upload a spreadsheet, disclose your inventory or agree to a sale.

We particularly want to hear from engineering and maintenance managers responsible for older production equipment — even if you don't need a part today.

Important: Registration is an expression of interest, not automatic admission to the pilot. AO will review each enquiry and discuss what involvement could look like.

A few things worth knowing

Frequently asked questions

Can other companies see our inventory or factory details?

No. This is a confidential brokered model, not an open marketplace for factory inventory. AO would discuss any proposed sharing of specific details with you before approaching a potential counterparty.

Do we need a stock list to join?

No. Registration only asks for basic contact details and what type of opportunity interests you. A list or part number can come later where appropriate.

Is the pilot already operating at scale?

No. We are inviting founding factories and assessing interest. Registration does not guarantee a match, supply or entry into the pilot.

Does registering oblige us to sell, purchase or share anything?

No. Registering is non-binding. Any individual sale, sourcing request or consignment arrangement would be discussed and agreed separately.

Is this only for Siemens equipment?

No. The idea is broader industrial automation spares, including Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron and other manufacturers. Older and obsolete items are especially relevant.

What if we only need one urgent replacement?

You can use our obsolete parts sourcing service immediately. Pilot registration is for an ongoing connection rather than a guaranteed emergency procurement channel.
