Sell your surplus automation parts in the UK
Selling used or surplus PLCs, HMIs, drives, I/O, control hardware or complete panels? Send the part numbers and quantities and we will assess the best route: cash purchase, selective purchase, brokerage or managed consignment. UK-wide.
What we buy
New, used and surplus — working or untested. If it's industrial automation, we're interested.
Have a stock spreadsheet or a few clear photos?
Send the manufacturer part numbers and quantities to start. You can use the detailed seller portal below, or WhatsApp photos first if that is easier. For immediate purchase enquiries, AO agrees terms before the stock moves; payment follows delivery and inspection.

Tell us what you have once. We can make an outright cash offer, manage a consignment sale, or broker a buyer while the stock remains with you.
Sell automation parts in the UK
Automation Outlet buys and manages the resale of surplus industrial automation equipment across the UK, including used PLCs, CPUs, HMIs, drives, remote I/O, safety modules and control hardware. Part numbers, quantities and photographs are usually enough for an initial assessment.
For stock suited to an immediate purchase we can make a cash offer. For higher-value or slower-moving equipment, we can also discuss selective purchase, brokerage or managed consignment so you are not forced into a single route.
Choose the right selling route
There is no single best way to sell every lot. We will recommend the route that best matches your priorities, the equipment and the likely resale timescale.
Outright cash purchase
The fastest and simplest route. We make a trade-price offer, agree the collection or shipping arrangements and take on the testing, storage, selling fees, warranty and return risk.
Selective purchase
We buy the strongest and fastest-moving items outright. You keep the lower-demand equipment rather than accepting one heavily discounted offer for the entire lot.
Managed resale
Potentially a higher overall return for valuable or specialist equipment. We test, photograph, advertise and manage buyers, with payment made as items sell.
Why a cash offer is lower than an online asking price
Outright purchase offers are trade prices, not end-user retail valuations. Advertised prices are not always achieved prices, and industrial parts can take months to sell. Our offer accounts for realistic demand, condition, testing, collection, marketplace fees, storage, warranty exposure and the risk that an item is returned or never sells.
If an outright sale is not your priority, managed resale may provide a better route to a higher return.
How it works
Send photos or a list
A few phone photos or a parts list is enough to start. Part numbers, quantities and honest condition details help us assess the stock properly.
Commercial assessment
We assess condition, demand, likely resale value, selling timescale and the work required before the equipment can be offered to an end user.
Choose your route
We may propose an outright purchase, a selective offer, managed resale, or a combination of routes for a mixed lot.
Delivery, inspection and payment
For outright cash purchases, the price and logistics are agreed before the stock moves. Payment is made by bank transfer after delivery and inspection against the agreed inventory, within up to 10 working days unless different terms are agreed in writing. For managed resale, we agree the seller share and reporting process before stock is marketed.
UK-wide collection
From parcel collection to pallets and complete site clearances.
Clear options
Cash, selective purchase or managed resale — not one unsuitable offer.
Honest assessment
We will say when an item is too slow-moving or low-value to purchase outright.
Engineer-run
Run by a controls engineer with 10+ years on the tools.
