Terms of sale
Clear terms for direct Automation Outlet website, email and telephone orders. These terms do not reduce any statutory rights that apply to you.
Who you are buying from
Automation Outlet is an independent UK industrial automation reseller based in Cambridgeshire. Contact us at info@automation-outlet.co.uk or via the details on our contact page. Manufacturer names and trademarks are used only to identify the equipment unless an authorised relationship is expressly stated.
Products, part numbers & compatibility
Industrial automation equipment can have visually similar variants with different part numbers, revisions, firmware or electrical ratings. The buyer should match the complete manufacturer part number and relevant specification before ordering. If a serial number, firmware, revision or compatibility point is critical, ask us to confirm it before purchase.
Condition & test status
The condition shown on each listing forms part of the product description. “Untested” means no functional claim is made. “Powers up” means a power-up check only. “Tested working” means the item has the stated test status, but the exact scope may be limited to the functions described on the listing or supplied test record. New-surplus packaging can show storage or handling wear.
Prices & payment
Prices are shown in GBP. Automation Outlet is not currently VAT registered, so VAT is not added to the displayed selling price. Eligible parcel stock can be paid for through secure card checkout; other orders may require a delivery quote or pro-forma invoice before payment.
Order acceptance
An order or payment request does not oblige us to supply an item where stock has already sold, a listing contains a material error, payment fails, delivery cannot reasonably be arranged or there is another genuine reason the order cannot be fulfilled. If we cannot accept a paid order, the payment will be refunded.
Delivery & risk
Delivery charges and arrangements are shown at checkout or agreed before payment. Large, heavy, palletised or overseas orders are quoted separately. For consumer orders, delivery times and risk are governed by applicable law; for business orders, any special collection, carrier or delivery arrangements agreed in writing form part of the order.
Returns, cancellations & faults
Our Returns & Refunds policy explains consumer cancellation rights, faulty goods, return postage and business-order returns. Consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded are not affected by these terms.
Business / B2B orders
Where goods are purchased wholly or mainly for business use, consumer cancellation rights do not apply. Any project-specific quotation, pro-forma invoice, agreed test scope, delivery arrangement or written special term takes priority over a conflicting general term on this page for that order.
Consignment & managed resale
These terms cover purchases from Automation Outlet. Sellers using our consignment / managed resale service are subject to the commercial terms agreed for that consignment, including the agreed seller share, fulfilment responsibilities and payment timing.
Liability & statutory rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Industrial equipment must be installed, commissioned and used by suitably competent persons in accordance with the manufacturer’s information, applicable standards and the requirements of the machine or system in which it is used.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply.
